Understanding Anxiety

The reason some people experience anxiety and others don't is based on our window of tolerance -

the threshold in which we're able to cope with uncomfortable situations and stimuli.

making a mistake  -- a social gathering  --  reading the news  --  you name it...

 

For folks with a narrow window of tolerance, anything can feel big and hard to manage.

This is where spiraling thoughts come in, waking up in the middle of the night, questions of

am I good enough, & the struggle to make the right decision.

 

We can't stop things from happening.

What we CAN do, and what I love to do, is help people learn to increase their window.
